New Leash On Life Animal Rescue Needs |
Fire caused an estimated $65,000 damage at the non-profit New Leash On Life animal rescue and retraining facility in Placerita Canyon in September 2006, and the organization is seeking help from the community to get repairs completed before this winter's rainy season.
Several exterior animal exercise runs and much of the landscaping surrounding the main building were destroyed.
New Leash has raised $11,000 toward the repairs as of early October, and needs to raise another $54K as soon as possible.
New Leash is also is looking for donations of the following:

- 400 square yards of soil stabilizer/erosion control cloth
- The use of a rear-tine tiller (or the donation of a tiller) for one week
